Wanna be an expat's wife? Think twice unless you fulfil the following criteria:
a) You enjoy afternoon tea
b) You have lots of hobbies to pass time
c) You don't really mind superficial friendships
d) You can stand taking $$ from your spouse and not feel that your ego is somehow deflated
e) You don't feel a depreciating sense of worth for not doing anything

I think I fit the bill, well, most of it. I could live with all of that except superficial friendship.
Hey, has the billionaire spirit of moscow made a cynic out of you? Not all expat wives are the same, nor do they all have superficial friendships. Life abroad is usally full of enriching, new and fun experiences. Afterall we are not talking about being in Malaysia yeah?
You'll make friends and get used to Moscow. Soon, you will be complaining about life back in singapore. There's alot of blessed simplicity in what you are living now.

I agree that there are a lot of blessed simplicity in my life now. Looking at the Indonesians, tsunami, volcano, earthquake, tsunami, I should be contented with what I have.
